The Arrogance of Barnabas

(part of a larger anthology called Tales of Sorcery and Silicone)

Author: Terence MacManus

Pages: 7

Average reading time: 0.3hrs

(Average reading time is calculated at 2 mins per page)

Short Summary:

Barnabas wakes up in pain and slowly memories and anger return to him as he recalls the duel with the young sorcerer that put him there.

The Good:

Admittedly I've only read 3 in this anthology so far but I have to say I've been enjoying these fantasy ones the most. I've been so blown away by the worlds the author is able to build in just 7 pages. This one in particular had a really cool magic system.

The Bad:

Nothing really. I'm a bit sad that we didn't get to see the fight that lead to this, then maybe as a reader we could start to put things together ourselves rather than have ol'Barney tells us about it. So really the best complaint you can give a story. More plz.

The Conclusion:

One tasty slice of fiction!
