May has been a month of prep. My overall life has been pretty quiet so I've been able to focus on what I need to do to push forward.
Marketing is going okay. I'm a bit sad that the extra merch I've been working on has been taking so long. It's been a bit of a pain trying to get prints to the right size. I'm aiming to get them done for Cox Con at least.
The Ads I tried this month also sucked so that was a bit of a downer.
Audiobook is making progress though :)
Moon Girl 4
Stage: Beta Reading
Moon 4 is with beta readers. I'm not quiet happy with it to be honest so I'm hoping the extra eyes can spot what I'm having trouble with.
Moon Girl 5
Stage: Planning/First Draft
Hit my writing targets as planned. Had to write a pretty upsetting scene though:(
Magic and Machines
I know in the last few updates I had been undecided on what I wanted to do with Magic and Machines. But I have now decided!
You'll be able to get an improved kindle version with more illustrations and better editing on June 10th for as little as 99p. You can pre order the adventure by now by clicking here:
I originally wanted to do a paperback version too but after getting a few quotes from different printers the cost was just too high. The main problem was that Magic and Machines is quite short so I didn't feel like could sell it for as much as I would Moon Girl, even with the extra illustrations. What it would have cost to print it meant I would have had to cost it higher than I would have liked in order to make a good profit so, unfortunately, Magic and Machines won't be seeing a paperback release.
I hit my writing target in good time this month so I've played around with a few other stories. Planned them out a bit better and made progress. Still waaaaay too early to say anything but they're fun.
June next month. I need to make sure I have everything ready for Cox Con and expect me to be pushing the hell out of Magic and Machines.
